The role will involve undertaking the designs for the civil and structural engineering works for waste infrastructure projects including MRF, IVC, MBT, HWRC and TS.

Key responsibilties:

- To undertake designs ensuring that engineering best practice is adopted in the development of the waste management facilities.

- To ensure that designs are completed with due regard to health and safety and constructability.

- To manage and control external design requirements.

- To keep abreast of engineering developments and best practice in the civil engineering and waste management industries.

Project Manager (Anaerobic Digestion)

We are currently working with a leading developer of food waste and wastewater Anaerobic Digestion projects who are looking to recruit a Project Manager with extensive experience of leading the design, construction and commissioning of wastewater treatment systems or other process industry systems.

The role will involve:

- Leading the project team, working in a proactive and co-operative manner to successfully deliver the agreed targets.

- Being responsible for the delivery of assigned projects on time and within budget, gross margins and net margins as sold, and satisfying contractual requirements, including compliance with all relevant standards and legislation, including HSE.

We are currently working with a leading national waste management company who are looking to recruit an O&M Project Manager to project manage the process/technical element of an EfW new build and then take up the role of either Operations or Maintenance Manager once the facility becomes operational.

The role would involve:

- Successfully delivering the EfW facility on time and to budget.

- Reviewing, developing and managing the technical design of the EfW proposed by the EPC contractor.

- Developing a detailed understanding of the facility to allow smooth transition into the Operations/Maintenance Manager role.

National Technical Operations Manager (EfW)

Our client is a leading national waste management company who are looking to recruit a National Implementation Manager.

This role would involve being responsible for ensuring that the operation and maintenance strategies for all current and emerging thermal treatment facilities are delivered and effectively implemented.

You will also work closely with other members of the Energy and Technical teams and contribute to deliver projects of a technical nature, optimizing all facilities, within cost and to operational facility.

EfW Plant Manager

South East. (50K-60K)

Our client is a leading national waste management company who are looking to recruit a Plant Manager for an Energy from Waste facility in the South East.

As the plant is currently under construction, the successful candidate will be involved in the late stage construction/commissioning process and will be part of the team putting together the operational/management guidelines for the running of the facility.

candidates should come from an Energy from Waste of a Power background, having had experience of the following:

- Running an EfW facility or leading the operational/maintenance teams at a large Power facility.

- P&L responsibility.

- Experience of managing teams of engineers to oversee the safe, optimal running of the facility with high productivity levels.

- The ability to report into senior managers detailing the plants productivity, budget performance, personnel issues/requirements and general overview of the plant.

Our client is one of the fastest growing waste management companies in the UK and is looking to take the business to the next stage of growth and appoint a head of Sales.

Reporting into the Managing Director you will be based out of the Central London office but operate nationally. Whilst they have a strong client base in the South East they have clients across the UK and as such the role will involve a large amount of travel.

With a small sales team you will be responsible for developing and formulating a sales strategy and then implementing it. The consensus is that you will grow the sales force quickly with the team doubling within the next 18 months and the appointment of a regional sales manager for the north to be based out of Manchester.

The client is a waste solutions based business, whilst the majority of nationals operate on a one size fits all bin lift business model they utilise local contractors in specialist waste areas to gain greater cost controls and provide a totally unique solution to each client.

We are looking to hear from an extremely driven and dynamic sales professional who has operated in the waste industry for a couple of years. Ideally you will have come from another sector and can bring fresh ideas and ignore the status quo of selling in the waste industry.

Our client is one of the UK’s leading names in the waste industry they are looking to strengthen their major accounts team by appointing an experienced business development manager.
Working into the head of the department you will be an important member of their elite sales team with our client that concentrate on tenders for large commercial contracts with a value in excess of £100,000 per annum.

We are looking to speak and meet with candidates who have experience of bidding and winning work up to a £1 million per annum and you will be used to leading and presenting tenders to large FTSE 100/ 250 businesses.

Previous experience of working on a national basis and selling to large corporate companies is essential as is a good understanding of the waste industry.

This is a very high profile role within the business and as such you will interact and deal with a number of the other divisions on a weekly basis i.e. accounts, C&I sales, hazardous etc.

Construction Project Manager x 3

Our client is a leading national waste management company that has a large capital investment programme in both the PFI and merchant sector. They are looking to build and upgrade a number of facilities across the UK utilising a number of technologies including energy from waste, MBT, MRF and HWRC’s.

Because of this extensive construction programme the client is looking to strengthen the team with a Regional Project/Construction Manager who will be responsible for delivering the projects in the South west/ South East or North West Region. Based out of one of the regional offices you will manage the delivery and construction of facilities up to a contract value of £10m and be the key point of co9ntact for the contractor and sub-contractors.

We are looking to hear from civil/ mechanical engineers who have worked on the construction of waste facilities previously. Ideally you will come from a similar role within the waste industry or have worked at one of the leading construction companies within the waste industry

Key Experiences:
- Waste or Renewable energy construction project experience.
- Previous multi project experience
- Civil or mechanical engineering degree
- Previous history of managing large internal and external multi-disciplinary teams.

Our client is responsible for the construction of 2 large energy from waste facility that are both part of a PFI contract. The project is about to go to site and they need to appoint a Project Manager to be responsible for the delivery of the whole project.

You will manage the whole project and have all the construction team reporting into you. Due to the high profile nature of the project and critical nature of its successful delivery you will report straight into the Group Managing Director.

If you have previous experience on energy from waste (EfW) construction projects we would be keen to hear from you. Alternatively individuals with heavy process engineering construction experience i.e power, pharmaceutical, manufacturing would be of interest too.

Requirements:

We are looking for experienced plastics buyers/purchasers to join the team, who is able to operate under their own initiative and who is able to source and procure the materials the company requires.

Site Manager (EfW)

Newcastle - £50k

Our client is a leading developer of energy from waste (EfW) facilities across the UK and they are now looking to recruit someone to take responsibility for the delivery of a new EfW plant in the North East.

Reporting into the Construction director you will manage all onsite construction activities with a team of site engineers reporting into you. Working closely with the technology provider you will have a good understanding of not only civil construction matters but also process engineering.

Ideally you will be degree educated in either civil or mechanical engineering and whilst previous energy from waste experience is not necessary but you must have worked on either power generation projects or heavy process engineer plants i.e. pharmaceutical, manufacturing, chemical facilities etc.

This is a full time position and the client is not looking for contract/ freelance people. However we are happy to consider candidates who will work away from home or are looking to relocate

Technical Director

South East £70k - £100k

Our client is a leading international waste and energy from waste engineering consultancy. Due to an increase in work and a revised business plan they are looking to appoint a very senior director to be the No.2 to the Managing Director of waste treatment technology.

This will be an international role that will involve liaising with numerous clients and different internal departments of the group across Europe, the Middle east, America and the Far East.

The business has a core team of engineers in the UK who all have experience in the various waste treatment technologies such as:
- Gasification
- Incineration
- Biomass

Your role will be to manage this individuals whilst also dealing with your own set of projects.
